MONEY FOR NOTHING AND YOUR CHICKS FOR FREE

For those who were junior high and high school students in the 1980's, you may have heard of the Dire Straits song Money For Nothing which included the phrase, Money for nothing and your chicks for free.  Except, it really doesn't work out that way.  A rock star is only as good as how many copies his or her album sells.  Even if the rock star sells huge, the rock star is only as good as the next album.  And treating the job as a joke while treating women as expenable and interchangable could leave a person vulnerable.  Somebody who's more driven to make the employer satisfied and more driven to treating women with respect and dignity will arrive.  Suddenly, the Party Animal who shouts I Want my MTV (both an MTV ad slogan and a lyric of the Dire Straits song Money for Nothing) around the same time he shouts Money for Nothing and your chicks for free will suddenly find himself or herself both losing his or her job and losing his or her love interest.  Yes, having a red cup party full of beer and good times might be fun in the short term, but it won't last forever.  Sooner or later you will need to wake up from the hang over and realize that the party is over and it's time to return to reality.  You can't stay a beer soaked party animal child forever.  Adulthood will arrive sooner or later.  Just be sure that you're prepared for reality when it finally arrives.

While I'm thinking about the philosophy of rock songs recorded by Dire Straits, here are some photos of film actress Molly Ringwald.  Fun facts about Molly Kathleen Ringwald.  She was born in Roseville, California on February 18, 1968.  She was born only three days after I was born on February 15, 1968.  Essentially, Molly Ringwald and I are the same age.  Molly Ringwald has two sisters named Elizabeth Ringwald and Kelly Ringwald.  I don't know much about Molly Ringwald's sister beyond that.  Molly Ringwald has been acting non-stop since age five.
