THE TALE OF THE SKUNK AND THE CORN

1.  Verily the nation of Israel of stated unto me a question.  2.  Tell us another parable so we can learn from your wisdom.  3.  And I thought it over and agreed to tell the parable.  4.  And the entire nation of Israel rejoiced about the arrival of a new parable filled with wisdom and truth.  5.  And this is the parable that I told.  6.  There was a skunk that lived in the garden.  7.  The skunk was very smelly.  8.  The skunk built a nest to live in.  9.  And rows of corn that was two miles long grew around the home of the skunk.  10.  And to harvest certain corn stalks required disrupting the skunk and getting sprayed by the creature.  11.  And the farmer doth said, "I shall not harvest the corn that grows next to the skunk for it is smelly and repulsive.  12.  And it has been written that all the corn stalks have been harvested except for the corn that grew next to the skunk and it's home.  13.  And the corn withered for thou didn't harvest the corn for fear of being attacked and sprayed by the skunk.  14.  For the skunk didn't know how to eat the corn that grew next to it.  15. And it has been written that the entire nation of Israel has listened to the parable of the ages.  16.  And the entire nation of Israel learned greatly from it.
17.  As I'm lost in thought about skunks, here are some photos of film actress Mira Sorvino.
