SHE ALSO HAS A DRAGON TATTOO

Rooney Mara's choice to become an actress was a curious path since her father Christopher Mara was in charge of player evaluation for the New York Giants, her Paternal Grandfather Wellington Mara and later her Uncle John Mara used to be co-owners of the New York Giants, her Maternal Grandfather Timothy James "Tim" Rooney started owning Yonkers Raceway in 1972, Her Great Grandfather Tim Mara founded the New York Giants, another Great Grandfather Art Rooney Sr. founded the Pittsburgh Steelers and her great Uncle Dan Rooney was chairman of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  People either thought that she'd become an athlete, a football team businesswoman or a real estate agent like her birth mother Kathleen McNulty (née Rooney).  However, Rooney Mara became an actress just like her sister Kate Mara.  She has two brothers not in the acting business Daniel Mara and Conor Mara.  She's been acting in movies since 2005 when she was a glorified extra on the direct to video third installment of the Urban Legend horror film series.  She played Nancy Holbrook in the eighth chapter of the A Nightmare On Elm Street horror film series.  She also played Erica Albright in the Academy Award nominated, but didn't win film The Social Network.  Rooney Mara played the second version of Lisbeth Salander in the fourth chapter of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series (Essentially, the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo that she played the female lead on was a reboot of the original Swedish language trilogy).  Coming up next is the reboot of the Swedish language film The Girl Who Played With Fire (Essentially, the fifth chapter of the film series).  She's also filming Her, The Bitter Pill, Ain't Them Bodies Saints, Brooklyn and the Untitled Terrence Malick Project.
