SHE DOESN'T HAVE BLONDE HAIR

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Linda Perry was the daughter of a Portuguese-American musician and enginier named Alfred Xavier Perry and a Brazilian-born private detective, designer and model named Marluce Perry.  Her childhood was shared with five brothers, one sister, kidney disease and an addiction disorder.  After relocating from Springfield, Massachusetts to San Francisco, California, she auditioned for a series of all girl only bands before she got accepted into the role of lead singer and primary songwriter for the all girl band 4 Non Blonde in 1989.  4 Non Blonde only recorded one album before breaking up in 1995.  4 Non Blonde had only one hit single and is looked upon as a one hit wonder band.  Linda Perry's solo career never matched the success of the first and only album recorded and released by 4 Non Blonde.  Currently, Linda Perry is much more successful as a producer and songwriter for other people's albums and music.  You may have heard her latest song being sung by somebody else without knowing that Linda Perry is responsible for it.  So far, the role of a behind the scenes king and queen maker is the only role that Linda Perry is playing right now in the rock and roll music industry.
