THEY CAME FROM OHIO

Over The Rhine started out as a side project launched by Linford Detweiler, Ric Hordinski and Brian Kelley who were also members of the Christian rock band Servant.  Named after a district of   Cincinnati, Ohio where the side project band started out as.  Karin Bergquist, who was the lawfully wedded wife of Linford Detweiler, was recruited as the fourth member of the group and also as the lead singer.  Over the Rhine continued as a quartet until their eighth album (A live album) entitled   Amateur Shortwave Radio.   As far as I know both members of the Over the Rhine duet,  Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist, continue to live in Cincinnati, Ohio.  When Over the Rhine went on tour with the Cowboy Junkies, they served as unofficial temporary members of the group for the tour only.  Over the Rhine has released their latest album, The Long Surrender, in 2001.
