 Britney Jean Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi on December 2, 1981 and she was raised in Kentwood Louisiana.  Jamie Spears and Lynn Spears was her parents.  Jamie Lynn is her sister.  Bryan James is her brother.  She started out on the Mickey Mouse Club television series replacing Kerri Russell and alongside Christina Aguilera and former opposite gender love interest Justin Timberlake.  She went on some failed auditions.  She joined the all girl group Innosense, but she dropped out before the group recorded any songs.  She got her first big break in 1998 with her debut album and she never looked back.  Her first and only attempt as an actress was in the film Crossroads.  She guested on a few television sitcoms too.  in 2001, Britney Spears and her mother Lynn Spears co-wrote the novel A Mother's Gift.  It was Britney Spears first and only effort as a novelist.  She had a nervous breakdown between 2007 and 2008 and she only just regained her sanity and her career.
