IN REMEMBERENCE OF D DAY

One day ends. A new day begins. And so the cycle continues. After working at Bob Evans Restaurant, I enjoyed dinner. And after watching a documentary on D Day on the History channel, I was tired and chose to head for bed. I did some Internet surfing before doing so. The D Day invasion of Normandy, France took place on June 6, 1944 and it was the decisive victory that broke the back of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Third Rich empire that controlled Germany from August 2, 1934 until the day he committed suicide while United States of America soldiers were bursting into his underground bunker on April 30, 1945. And so yesterday was important becomes it was the 70th anniversary of that crucial military victory which made it possible for the United States of America to defeat Adolf Hitler's Germany during World War II. Yeah, it's not much of a holiday for Germany though. Still, there's hope that never again will somebody like Adolf Hitler will ever become elected dictator of a country. It's a goal worth fighting for.
And as I'm lost in thought on the seventieth anniversary of the D Day invasion of Normandy, France during the closing months of World War II, here are some photos of Ellen Page.
