THE FALLING SNOW AND OTHER STORIES

November 18, 2014

The snow fell yesterday. It didn't stick to the ground at first Sunday night, but it stuck to the ground Monday morning. And I guess the snow was kind of slushy. Too slushy to use the snow blower on. So I shoveled the driveway with the help of a shovel instead. There wasn't that much snow. A foot of snow fell in Cleveland, Ohio and Kent, Ohio but there were only a few scant inches here in Columbus, Ohio. The snow storms tend to be mild here in Columbus, Ohio and I'm thankful for such a thing. At any rate, today is Tuesday and the snow remains with no additional snow to worry about shoveling away.

Additional snow hasn't fallen in Columbus, Ohio. The snow that has already fallen hasn't melted away. A winter coat is needed before venturing outside. Winter came before Thanksgiving and hasn't really left. And so the first week of Winter gets started. It's still dark outside. The sun has yet to rise. The sun will rise eventually since it's morning and a new day has only just started. And so I type this sentence while overflowing with optimism that today will be a good day for me. Having confidence in myself is crucial. The year 2015 is getting closer. The year 2015 is almost nearly five weeks away. The year 2015 will bring Summer back too. I can't wait.
And as I'm lost in thought on the freezing cold days of Winter, here are some photos of Iranian-American actress Sheila Vand.
